Dead Congregation's latest release, Sombre Doom, is a true testament to the band's ability to create brutal and haunting music. From start to finish, the album is a relentless assault on the senses, with each track delivering a barrage of crushing riffs, thunderous drums, and guttural vocals.

The opening track, "The Lament of a Sordid God," sets the tone for the rest of the album with its slow, ominous build-up before erupting into a full-blown assault on the listener's ears. From there, the album never lets up, with tracks like "Vortex of Repulsion" and "Lucid Curse" showcasing the band's ability to create a truly oppressive atmosphere.

One of the standout tracks on the album is "Nigredo," which features a haunting, atmospheric intro before launching into a pummeling assault of blast beats and tremolo-picked riffs. The track also features some of the album's most memorable riffs, which will no doubt have fans banging their heads in approval.
