Mekanik Kommando's latest album is a fascinating exploration of industrial and post-punk sounds. The band's use of electronic instrumentation, including synthesizers and drum machines, creates a pulsating, rhythmic backdrop for the haunting, often dissonant vocals. The album is at once experimental and accessible, with tracks ranging from the atmospheric, ambient "Morphine" to the driving, danceable "Dancing Elephants." The band's use of repetition and layering creates a hypnotic effect, drawing the listener into a dark, dystopian world. The album is a must-listen for fans of experimental music, and a testament to Mekanik Kommando's continued relevance in the underground music scene.

Notes

  • Limited to 300 copies
  • Sleeve incorrectly lists Radio Mekanik as the A-side and Connection Disconnection as the B-side. The labels and actual single are correct.
  • Flexi-disc was issued for free with Vinyl Magazine #1.
  • Date of issue is incorrectly listed as February 13th 1980 on the cover.
  • On the flexi the contact info is " 232522 Akzidenz Records." This is most likely a misspelling of the Akzidanz label.
  • Track A1 is also known as "Radio Mekanik"
  • Track A2 is also known as "Connection-Disconnection"
